FULU CNC Milling Machines

Milling Machines for Large-Part Surface and Feature Machining

Review gantry milling machines by part and fixture envelope, table capacity, bridge and head clearance, travel, spindle duty, tool access, chip management, accuracy evidence, and handling requirements.

Current Product Route

Gantry Milling Machines

The approved current architecture contains one milling-machine subtype. Bed-type and horizontal milling categories require current portfolio confirmation before they receive separate public URLs.

Gantry Milling Machine Series

Use this route for large or heavy workpieces when the complete setup must fit beneath or within a gantry structure and the process requires appropriate travel, table support, spindle and head access, chip removal, inspection, and handling.

Confirm before model selection: raw and finished dimensions, part and fixture weight, table area and load distribution, bridge and cross-rail clearances, X/Y/Z travel, head configuration, spindle duty, tool access, operations, accuracy, loading, and site utilities.

Portfolio boundary: Bed-type and horizontal milling machines are not approved as standalone categories in the current architecture. Hold them for product-owner confirmation.

Selection Logic

Review the Entire Part, Fixture, and Access Envelope

Nominal table dimensions do not prove that a setup can be machined. Check clearances, load distribution, tool reach, head orientation, travel use, chip flow, and material handling together.

  • Part and fixture length/width/height
  • Total weight and load distribution
  • Table area, slots, and usable mounting
  • Gantry, beam, and head clearances
  • Travel and tool-access directions
  • Spindle/head configuration and duty
  • Tolerance, finish, and inspection
  • Loading, foundation, and utilities

Application Paths

Start From Large-Part Geometry and Process Risk

Application review should define setup size, stock condition, material, features, access, removal volume, tolerance, finish, inspection, and handling.

Large heavy component for gantry milling review

Heavy Part Machining

Review loading, support, load distribution, removal volume, access, stability, chip evacuation, and inspection.

Large mold or die workpiece for gantry milling

Mold & Die Machining

Review surface and cavity access, head route, tool reach, spindle duty, finish strategy, and thermal conditions.

Large general machinery component requiring milling

General Machinery Components

Review planes, holes, slots, datum strategy, setup count, handling, inspection, and downstream operations.

Gantry milling machine geometry inspection and test

Verification

Verify the Quoted Structure and Acceptance Conditions

Large-machine fit depends on more than the catalog envelope. Confirm the exact structure, installation conditions, and evidence attached to the quoted model.

  • Foundation, installation layout, access, and lifting plan
  • Usable table, load, gantry, cross-rail, and head clearances
  • Spindle/head ratings with duty and operating conditions
  • Axis accuracy and geometry test methods and conditions
  • Chip, coolant, guarding, probing, and tool-management scope
  • FAT, shipping split, reassembly, commissioning, and acceptance responsibility

Buyer Questions

Milling Machine Selection FAQ

Does table size confirm that my part will fit?

No. Check fixture footprint, clamps, load distribution, bridge and head clearance, travel, tool access, loading route, and required operations.

What information is needed for a heavy-part review?

Provide part and stock dimensions, weight and center of gravity, fixture concept, datums, material, removal volume, features, tolerance, finish, handling method, and site constraints.

Are heads, probing, coolant, conveyors, and tool systems standard?

Status is model- and quotation-specific. Each item needs a Standard, Optional, Third-party, Custom engineering, or To confirm label and its dependencies.

What should be agreed before acceptance?

Agree the configuration, installation conditions, test standard, test piece or geometry checks, instruments, temperature and stabilization conditions, report format, and responsible parties.
